Thin Film Center Spring Masterclass - 15th to 19th March 2010

P&T Consulting has pleasure in announcing the forthcoming Spring Masterclass, which will be given by Professor Angus Macleod at the Premier Travel Inn, Gatwick (Crawley) between 15th and 19th March 2010.

Professor Macleod is one of the most distinguished figures in the field of optical coatings with over 200 publications. He is Professor Emeritus of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona and president of Thin Film Center Inc. He has taught courses in optical topics throughout the world, specialising in teaching techniques that avoid complicated theory without oversimplification.

The course is a mixture of formal lectures and hands-on tutorials with a computer for each student. The objective is the presentation of a logical unified treatment of the subject with emphasis throughout on understanding and reasoning. There are no prerequisites although a familiarity with high school mathematics and/or science would be useful.
